Background:

The Center for Arts, Innovation, & Creativity (CAIC) is a  2014 General Obligation Bond project, with supplemental funding from Vision 2025 Surplus funds.  The CAIC will be located on the southwest corner of Dallas Street and Main Street on the site of the old Arkansas Valley Bank.  The CAIC could house visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpture), performing arts, and others. 

 

Following a selection process in which the ArtsOK - The Regional Arts Alliance of Broken Arrow members and City Staff participated, Selser Schaefer Architects was selected for preparation of a concept design.  The concept design was completed in September 2017.  Selser Schaeffer was requested to continue the design and development complete construction documents.

 

City staff negotiated an agreement with the Selser Schaeffer to prepare construction documents and assist during construction.  The agreement is attached.

 

Cost:                                                                $351,950.00

Funding Source:       General Obligation Bond 2014 and Vision 2025 Surplus Funds
