Presentation of the 2018 Cool Grilles Follow Up Report and possible denial of grant fund reimbursement due to lack of overnight accommodations

End

Background:

Tourism Director, Lori Hill will introduce Janie Green with the Broken Arrow Rotary Club to provide the follow up report for the 2018 Cool Grilles event grant request.

Five Broken Arrow lodging properties were utilized for this tournament resulting in three (3) overnight accommodations.

The CVB discussed and approved the Broken Arrow Rotary Cool Grilles grant request during their July 9, 2018 meeting.  The CVB approved grant funding of $10,000.00 so Broken Arrow could sponsor and host the 2018 Cool Grilles event.  Grant funds were requested to be used to offset the costs of street closing, sanitation rentals, advertising and trophies.

Since the minimum number of hotel room nights required for this grant request were not fulfilled, Staff is recommending no reimbursement of grant funds.
