Background:

The attached Notice of Election provides the statutory Notice of a Non-Partisan General Election scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, 2019. This Notice establishes that the filing period and will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019, and will end at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. It identifies Ward 1, Ward 2, and Member at Large Council Members as the subject of this General Election, and notes that the term of these three council seats is four (4) years.

Staff recommends that the Council approve the Notice of Election and authorize its execution. Following approval, an executed copy of the Notice will be published in accordance with State Law.
