Background:

The right-of-way acquisition for the Washington Street: Olive to Garnett, widening project has been approved for funding in the General Obligation Bond 2014. The City’s right-of-way agent has attempted unsuccessfully to negotiate with Wylie and Linda Neal for Parcel 10, generally located at the northeast corner of Washington and Olive, Section 16, Township 18 North, Range 14 East.  The attached Resolution of Necessity No. 1170 recommends that condemnation proceed on Parcel 10 for Fee Simple Permanent Right-of-Way.

Cost:                                                                To be determined by Commissioners (Est. at $1,200 plus court costs)

Funding Source:       Funding for this project is from the G.O. Bond 2014.
