Approval of and authorization to execute Fiscal Year 2019 Budget Amendment No. 3 for additional money for legal services

Background:
During the budget process for fiscal year 2018-2019 staff budgeted $100,000 for outside legal services. As of November 27, 2018 we have spent $84,601.97 of the $100,000. Due to pending litigation and not being fully staffed in the legal department we are anticipating that we will need an additional $100,000 to see us to the end of the year. The additional money will be coming from additional sales tax that we have received that wasn’t budgeted for.
Cost: $100,000
Funding Source: General Fund Sales Tax
