Background:
ArtsOK The Regional Arts Alliance of Broken Arrow is kicking off its 2018-2019 Spotlight Series. Since 2009, the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center has been the cornerstone of the Rose District in downtown Broken Arrow and continually encourages the community to embrace a variety of performing arts. The Broken Arrow community has made an investment in the Performing Arts Center and the Broken Arrow Convention and Visitors' Bureau would like to assist that effort to continue performing arts.
Staff has drafted a Professional Services Contract with ArtsOK for the 2018-2019 Spotlight Series season for $5,000.00 per show for a period of three years, subject to annual appropriations. Funding will assist ArtsOK with artists' fees for each performance. In return, ArtsOK anticipates a minimum of 40 overnight accommodations in Broken Arrow lodging properties for each show of each season.
The 2018-2019 Spotlight Series season includes the following performances:
* Spamalot - November 6, 2018
* The Ten Tenors - November 10, 2018
* David Phelps - December 15, 2018
* Home Free - December 29, 2018
* Jersey Boys - February 18, 2019
* Something Rotten - May 4, 2019
Cost: $5,000.00 per show, for a period of three years, subject to annual appropriations
