Approval of and authorization to purchase one (1) 1-ton, 15 passenger van from Carter Chevrolet, pursuant to the Oklahoma Statewide Vehicle Contract, for the Fire Department

Background:

The Fire Department has budgeted for the purchase of one (1) 1-Ton, 15 Passenger Van. Funds have been are appropriated and are available in the Sale Tax Capital Improvement Fund in the amount of $30,000.00 for the purchase of this vehicle.  The van will be purchased under the Oklahoma State Contract SW35 (item# 1000009346). Base pricing and selected options for the truck are reflected in the attached bid tabulation. The Fire Department recommends the bid from the Carter Chevrolet for one (1) 1-Ton, 15 Passenger Van, as the most advantageous bid.  Pursuant to the State Contract, Carter Chevrolet can provide the 3500 Express Passenger Van with identified options for $29,077.00. 

 

The Fire Department recommends that the Council approve the purchase of a 3500 Express Passenger Van from Carter Chevrolet.
