Background:
The Public Safety Training Facility: Police Down Range Building and Site Preparation is a 2014 Public Safety GO Bond project. The Bond issue calls for construction of an additional outdoor building adjacent to the existing Police and Fire Training Center, to include specialized training areas, restrooms and fencing. The Base Bid is for a new pre-engineered metal building to be located south of the existing Training Building. The new building will be approximately 74 feet by 45 feet by 14 feet tall and will include site work, a training room, classroom, restrooms and storage are. Add Alternate No. 1 is for a brick wainscot. Add Alternate No. 2 is for a covered porch area with a concrete apron at one end of the building. Utilities Department will provide water and sanitary sewer service to the building. The project was awarded with a contract for the Base Bid and Add Alternate 1 for the Police Down Range Building and Site Preparation to Magnum Construction, Inc., in the amount of $501,039.00.

This Change Order #3 addresses the following additions to the contract:

- Reconciling Changes: Due to site conditions varying from design parameters, field adjustments of the plan quantities by the city contract administrator was authorized. These changes in quantities are summarized on the attached "Project Final Quantities Report". The listed change order cost is to adjust the original contract value to the reflected installed contract value.
- Changes in Contractual time: Due to unforeseen situations resulting in change orders #1 & #2, the time of the contract shall be amended to 244 calendar days; adding 124 calendar days to the contract.
