Background:
The Broken Arrow Senior Center is celebrating National Senior Center month in September 2018. In light of the Center’s contribution to the community, Broken Arrow Seniors, Inc. is respectfully requesting that the City Council proclaim September 2018 as National Senior Center month in the City of Broken Arrow.
Members of the Broken Arrow Senior Center find friendship, meaning and purpose at the Center. Each day they connect older adults with valuable benefits and resources to help reach this goal. The Center is constantly evolving as well as they plan for the future and the growing demographic of those 55 and older.
Staff recommends that the proclamation be approved.
