Approval of and authorization to execute an agreement with the Broken Arrow Military History Center for removal and relocation of the Vietnam monument from Central Park

Background:

The attached agreement permits the Broken Arrow Military History Center to remove, transport, and relocate the Vietnam monument from Central Park to the Veteran Memorial Plaza located at 112 N. Main Street, known as the Military History Center.

 

The Military History Center agrees to obtain quotes for this project, submit the quotes to the City for review and final approval, and will manage the overall planning and operation of the relocation. The City agrees to pay for all the costs of the materials and services related to this project. The City will coordinate the concrete construction for the required footing at the new site at the plaza.

 

Both parties understand that the relocation of the pedestal could result in damage to the pedestal. This agreement will commence upon execution and shall remain in effect for 99 years. 

 

Cost:                                                                Not to exceed $6,500.00
