Approval of and authorization to purchase three (3) 2019 Ford Taurus full-sized automobiles from England Ford, pursuant to the Oklahoma Statewide Vehicle Contract, for the Police Department

End

Background:

The State of Oklahoma currently has three vendors with competitive bids for full-sized automobiles (sedans).  Law Enforcement agencies throughout the State of Oklahoma are able to purchase vehicles at the state contract price, which is advantageous to the political subdivisions by allowing them to make purchases at lower prices.  The Police Department is seeking to purchase 3 full-sized automobiles from the state bid contract. These vehicles will be assigned to the Training/support division and will replace units that were surplused or marked for surplus.

England Ford submitted the lowest state bid price of $20,481.00 for the 2019 Ford Taurus.

Funds have been appropriated and are available in Police Department’s portion of the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund.

Cost:                                                                $61,443.00

Funding Source:                     STCI Project 193001
