Background:

This project entails relocating the City’s fiber optic line out of the alley from College Street to Elgin Street.  The line will be moved to avoid conflict with the new Milestone Development located on that property.  The relocated fiber optic line will be placed along First Street.  The project was advertised for bids on May 14 and 21, 2018.  Bids were opened on June 5th, 2018 and two (2) bids were received.  One of those bids was deemed non-responsive.  The low bidder was Third Generation Electrical, Inc., with a bid of $49,058.00 while the engineer’s estimate was $75,000.00.
