Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment No. 5 to Agreement for Professional Consultant Services with Garver, L.L.C. for engineering of 9th Street Widening, El Paso to Elgin (Project No. ST1210)

Background:
Garver, L.L.C. was retained by the City several years ago to prepare the design of 9th Street Improvements from Elgin Street to El Paso Street. During right-of-way acquisition efforts, it was decided that the City would purchase the (former) Cook property, located on the east side of 9th Street just south of the Patio Condominium Homes, Inc. site, and design and construct a public parking lot on the property. This amendment has additional design services for this parking lot. These services include electrical design (to allow for future parking lot lighting), landscaping design, and irrigation system design notes. Amendment No. 5 to the Agreement for Professional Consultant Services covers the cost of this work in the amount of $18,300.00. The revised total Agreement amount, including Amendments 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, is $332,767.03.
