Background:
In the 2011 Stormwater Improvements GOB, two (2) projects were improved related the drainage systems for the Turnberry Sub-Division Culvert (near Dearborn (41st) & 201st E. Ave.) and the Eagle Creek Sub-Division Culvert (near Omaha (51st) & S. 202nd E. Ave.). The design was completed by Utley & Associates for a total of $86,500.00
Given the proximity of the two projects, and the similarity in the type of construction, the two projects were combined and bid as one construction project. The combined project advertised for bids on April 16th and 23rd, 2018. Six (6) bids were submitted, and all were responsive. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. The low bidder was Davis H. Elliott Construction Company with a bid of $477,656.50. The engineer’s estimate was $354,379.00.
Staff recommends awarding a construction contract to Davis H. Elliott Construction Company in the amount of $477,656.50. Funding will come from the 2011 Stormwater GOB.
