Background:
The City of Broken Arrow applied for the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 15-16 Surface Transportation Program (STP) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funds for design and construction of the Broken Arrow Main Street Bikeway, which is a combination of bikeways (striped bike lanes along streets), signed routes (bicycle symbols and signage to encourage vehicles and bicycles to share the road), and trails (off-street trails). The total anticipated construction cost is $529,495.00.

This item is an ODOT - City of Broken Arrow agreement for our 20% share ($166,593.00) of the funding. With this ODOT agreement the City agrees to ODOT bidding and construction management of the construction contract. After ODOT receives this signed agreement they will execute it along with advertising the project for bidding.

Funding of the local share will be from the 2014 Quality of Life GO Bond.
