Presentation to recognize Broken Arrow resident Annalise Crockett for her acceptance to the United States Air Force Academy Class of 2022

End

Background:

The United States Air Force Academy is a world-class university and one of the most selective colleges in the nation. Competition for appointment to the Academy is extremely high. Applicants are generally competing against as many as 10,000 of the nation's best students for about 1,000 slots. The Air Force uses the Academy to train young officers, and it is easy to see why the process is so involved.

Broken Arrow resident Annalise Crockett served on the Youth City Council as Mayor during her senior year. After her graduation from Broken Arrow High School in May 2017, she attended Northeastern Oklahoma University in Tahlequah. Annalise’s outstanding examples of leadership, academic achievement, and athletic performance lead to her appointment to both the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Military Academy at West Point. She has chosen to attend the United States Air Force Academy.

As a result of her hard work, it is appropriate to publicly recognize her accomplishment and thank her for her commitment to serve our country. Ed Kennedy, Admissions Liaison Officer, will be presenting her certificate this evening.
