Background:
On March 16, 2016, the Regional Metropolitan Utility Authority and the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority entered into a Waste Water Treatment Facility Contract. The term of the contract was for one year. Amendment No. 1 to the contract was approved by the parties in January 2017, which extended the term of the contract for an additional year. RMUA and BAMA are in the process of negotiating a comprehensive new agreement for the treatment of waste water. Rather than expediting approval of the new contract, it is necessary to amend the contract and provide for a three-year term.
