Background:

The Broken Arrow City Council views our teachers as one of the most important workforces within the State. Teacher Appreciation Week is observed nationwide annually during the first full week in May. Teacher Appreciation week is a time to honor teachers for the contributions they make to learning, child development and to the community.

 

The Broken Arrow City Council fully supports public school teachers. The Council recognizes that public school teachers are critical to the advancement of the State of Oklahoma. Additionally, the Council recognizes the contributions, dedication, and hard work public school teachers provide on behalf of their students.

 

This item is placed on the Agenda for Council discussion and possible approval and authorization of Resolution No. 1100 declaring May 7-11, 2018, Teacher Appreciation Week.
