Award the lowest responsible bid to Ellsworth Construction, LLC, and approve and authorize execution of a construction contract for 4th Street Rehabilitation, Detroit to Midway (Project No. ST1804)
End
Background:
This project is to add curb and gutter to both sides of 4th Street from Detroit Street to Midway Street and patch and overlay the asphalt street as needed. Also included is improvements to drainage facilities along the corridor. The project was included in the approved 2017 Tulsa Urban County Community Development Block Grant.
The project was advertised for bids on February 19 and 26, 2018. Bids were opened on March 13, 2018 and six (6) bids were received. All bids were responsive. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. The lowest responsible bidder was Ellsworth Construction, LLC, with a bid of $196,979.75. The other bids ranged from $217,000.00 to $238,105.75. The engineer's estimate was $214,420.00 for the bid.
Staff recommends awarding the bid in the amount of $196,979.75 to Ellsworth Construction, LLC.
Funding for the improvements will be from CDBG funds.
Cost: $196,979.75
