Background:

At the request of the property owner, the City of Broken Arrow is proposing to annex into the city limits of Broken Arrow 38.73 acres generally located North of Houston Avenue, between Midway Road and South 273rd East Avenue, in part of the E/2 of SW/4 of Section 11, Township 18 North, Range 15 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Wagoner County, State of Oklahoma.

 

Pursuant to Title 11, Section 21-103 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the Council must direct publication of a Notice of Annexation in a legally qualified newspaper of general circulation fourteen (14) days prior to the public hearing notifying property owners abutting any public right-of way that forms the boundary of the territory of the proposed property to be annexed.  The property will be used for the development of single family residential homes.
