Approval of and authorization to purchase one (1) ¾ ton truck for the Fire Department pursuant to the Oklahoma Statewide Contract SW35

Background:
The Fire Department has budgeted for the purchase of one (1) ¾ Ton Trucks. Funds have been are appropriated and are available in the Fire Sales Tax Fund in the amount of $45,000.00 for the purchase of these vehicles. The truck will be purchased under the Oklahoma State Contract SW35 (item# 1000009355). Based upon pricing and selected options for the truck are reflected in the attached bid tabulation. The Fire Department recommends the bid from the Chevrolet 2500 Truck from Carter Chevrolet for one (1) ¾ ton truck as the most advantageous bid. Pursuant to the State Contract, Carter Chevrolet can provide the Chevrolet 2500 Truck with identified options at $29,912.00.
The Fire Department recommends that the Council approve the purchase of the Chevrolet 2500 Truck from Carter Chevrolet.
Cost: $29,912.00
