Approval of and authorization to execute a purchase agreement with Baysinger’s Uniforms and Equipment, LLC for the purchase of police uniforms and equipment

Background:
The Police Department requested and sought bids for police uniforms and equipment. Eleven (11) vendors were solicited to bid and three (3) bids were received. All three vendors met the specifications. The low bid was submitted by Baysingers Uniform and Equipment.
This contract will provide an existing vendor and source to equip Police recruits with their initial issue of uniforms and equipment. Additionally, the contract will provide the entire Police Department with an existing vendor in which to replace unserviceable uniform and equipment items quickly.
Funds have been appropriated and available in the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund for Police.
Cost: $26,667.46
