Award of the most advantageous bid to Momentum Services, LLC, and approval of and authorization to execute a contract for nuisance abatement
End
Background:
The Development Services Department received bids for an unencumbered nuisance abatement contract and is recommending award of the bid to the most advantageous bidder, Momentum Services, LLC. Award of this contract will allow nuisance abatement activities, including mowing, cleaning and securing structures on property in violation of City Code. It will also allow the Streets and Stormwater crews to focus on their normal duties without interruption to execute an abatement work order.

The project was advertised for bids on August 29, 2017 and September 5, 2017. Bids were opened on September 19, 2017. One (1) bid was received from Momentum Services, LLC, at $109,495.00. The bid tabulation is attached. Momentum Services, LLC has had the nuisance abatement contract for the past three (3) years and has done an excellent job. Staff recommends award of the contract not to exceed the budgeted amount of $60,000 in the current fiscal year. Should the budgeted amount be expended, the abatements will revert back to Storm Water for completion. To date, we have not exceeded the budgeted amount in any of the three years we been doing contracted abatements.

Staff recommends approval of and authorization to execute the nuisance abatement contract with Momentum Services, LLC. Funding will be the Professional Services fund of Development Services Inspection Division.

Cost: Not to Exceed $60,000.00
