Presentation, discussion, consideration and possible approval of the draft citizens survey to gather feedback for the 2018 General Obligation Bond projects
End
Background:
The City of Broken Arrow proposes to hold a General Obligation Bond election in August 2018. General Obligation (GO) Bond financing is a common funding tool used by Oklahoma municipalities to pay for large capital projects, such as the building of roads, public facilities and parks.
Public input is highly desired in the process of selecting bond projects. The City of Broken Arrow will gather citizen feedback through a city-wide survey. Citizens will complete the survey online. The public will be notified about the survey through the FOCUS utility newsletter, automated phone calls, the city website and social media. A special insert will also be included with the utility bill in an effort to bring attention to the survey. Those who do not have access to the internet may complete the survey at City Hall, 220 S. First Street.
