Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment to the Capital Improvement Agreement with the Board of County Commissioners of Tulsa County regarding the Broken Arrow Conference Center Project

Background:
On March 3, 2015 the City entered into a Capital Improvements Agreement with the Board of County Commissioners of Tulsa County to fund the construction of a Conference Center near Albany Street and Hillside Drive using Vision 2025 Surplus funds. The estimated completion date of the project stated in the agreement was March 1, 2017. However, during construction that completion date has been extended. Although opening of the conference center is estimated to occur in late 2017 it is proposed the Capital Improvements Agreement deadline be extended to March 1, 2018 to ensure no additional extension is necessary.
The staff recommends approval of the amendment.
