Approval of and authorization to execute the First Amendment to Clinic Management Services Agreement with IMWell Health, L.L.C. to provide biometric screening services

Background:
In 2015, the City entered into an agreement with IMWell Health, LLC which allowed employees and their dependents covered by the City's health insurance plan to access the IMWell primary care clinic. A reduced fee for services was negotiated which provided savings to the health plan and allowed the City to waive the copay for employees who utilize the clinic. The service provided by IMWell has been excellent, receiving rave reviews from employees.
The amendment to this agreement allows for IMWell to provide biometric screenings and a wellness portal for our annual Health Fair. Employees who participate in the Health Fair by completing a biometric screening and health risk assessment and attending a results session, receive a discount on medical insurance premiums. This expansion of the existing agreement will provide improved service to our employees at a reduced cost to the City.
Staff recommends approval of the amendment. The funds are budgeted in the fiscal year 2017-18 Group Health and Life Fund.
Cost: $46,134.00
