Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment No. 2 to Professional Consultant Agreement with Garver, LLC, for Design of Kenosha Street Widening from Date Avenue to Main Street (Project No. ST1409)

Background:
This Amendment No. 2 is to update the design of the Kenosha Street Widening to 5 Lanes from Date Avenue to Main Street. During project design review meetings, it became apparent that rerouting part of the stormwater on the west end of the project to the east would be advantageous. Design services to accomplish this are part of this Amendment. Also, stormwater drainage from Kenosha Street to the south down Cedar Avenue to Iola Street was designed but not constructed with a previous project. Garver, LLC will incorporate the Cedar Avenue stormwater design into the plans for the Kenosha Street Improvements. Finally, new property reports and easement staking work are needed which will be provided with this Amendment. The Engineering and Construction Department staff have negotiated a fee of $53,400.00 with Garver, LLC, for the described services.
Funding for this amendment to the agreement is available in the 2014 Streets GO Bond.
