Approval of bids received and award of the most advantageous bid to Professional Turf for the purchase one (1) 16-foot rotary mower for the Parks and Recreation Department

Background:
The Parks and Recreation Department has budgeted for the purchase of one 16-foot wide area rotary mower. Funds for this purchase are available in the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund in the amount of $92,200.00, project number 186003.
Bid requests for this mower were sent to ten vendors, only one bid was received. Another vendor does offer a competing machine. Although they did receive an invitation to bid bid and have been awarded a bid for this same machine in past, they elected not to not submit a bid. The bid that was submitted by Professional Turf meets specifications. Base pricing and selected options for the mower is reflected in the attached bid tabulation. Staff recommends that the Council award the most advantageoud bid to Professional Truf for the purchase of one Toro Groundmaster 5900, Model 31698 wide area mower.
