Background:
The Rose West Dog Park and Restroom is a 2014 General Obligation Bond Project. The purpose of the project is to construct the Rose West Dog park located on West New Orleans Street (101st Street South) east of Garnett, including facilities for a dog park, a trail head restroom and expansion of the parking area. The bid documents included a Base Bid for the park and the restroom building. The project was advertised for bids on June 28 and July 5, 2017. Bids were opened on August 1, 2017. Eight (8) bids were received. The low bidder was Cherokee Pride Construction with a bid of $532,700.50. The certified bid tabulation is attached. Staff recommends award of the Base Bid for Rose West Dog Park and Restroom to Cherokee Pride Construction, in the amount of $532,700.50.
Funds for the work are available in the 2014 General Obligation Bond.
