Approval of and authorization to execute Resolution No. 1027 for Renewal of Tulsa Urban County 2016 Community Development Block Grant Contract for 4th Street Sidewalk, extending the contract expiration date from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2018 (Project No. ST1708)

Background:
The FY2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) contract for construction of the 4th Street Sidewalk from Detroit Street to Midway Avenue (Project No. ST1708) was approved by Tulsa County on February 21, 2017. Engineering and Construction Department prepared the plans, and Streets & Stormwater Department partially completed the work. The remainder of the sidewalk construction is currently being advertised for bids. The Tulsa County Contract requires expenditure of funds by June 30, 2017. The attached renewal extends the time to June 30, 2018.
Staff recommends approval of Resolution 1027 to allow the work to be completed as originally approved and the City to be reimbursed.
