Approval of and authorization to execute Resolution No. 1026 for Renewal of Tulsa Urban County 2016 Community Development Block Grant Contract for East Kenosha Street Multipurpose Trail, extending the contract expiration date from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2018 (Project No. 176032)

Background:
The FY2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) contract for construction of the East Kenosha Street Multipurpose Trail (Project No. 176032) was approved by Tulsa County on February 21, 2017. Engineering and Construction Department prepared the plans, and the construction on the trail was partially completed by Streets & Stormwater Department. The remainder of the construction is currently being advertised for bids. The Tulsa County Contract requires expenditure of funds by June 30, 2017. The attached renewal extends the time to June 30, 2018.
Staff recommends approval of Resolution 1026 to allow the work to be completed as originally approved and the City to be reimbursed.
