Authorization to purchase six (6) PowerLOAD Ambulance Cot Loading systems from Stryker EMS
End
Background:

The Broken Arrow Fire Department has applied for and been awarded a $120,170 Assistance to Firefighters Grant for the purchase of six (6) Stryker Power-LOAD Systems to be installed in the department's front line ambulance fleet. Understanding that the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program is a 90/10 grant, the City of Broken Arrow agrees to finance the required 10% in the amount of $12,016.00 and cost of installation in the amount of $6,600. The Finance Department has included in the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget the grant revenue and the budgeted expenditures to fund the City of Broken Arrow's required portion and the cost of the installation.

The Fire Department will add the requested equipment to our existing Stryker maintenance contract, and we have consulted our Stryker area representative in reference to free training for all of our p...
