Background:

The Street division has requested and sought bids for one dump truck.  Ten vendors were solicited to bid on this truck and a total of five bids were received from four vendors.  All bids received meet specifications.  The lowest bid was Premier Truck (their #2 bid) for the 2018 Freightliner 114SD.  Base pricing, options, and warranty information are reflected in the attached bid tabulation.  The bid tabulation also includes all vendors submitting bids for this equipment. 

 

The total price for the dump truck with options is $122,368.00.  Base price is $119,067.00, plus $375.00 (tilt steering and cruise), $150.00 (power windows), $225.00 (snow plow wiring and switches), $136.00 (auxiliary switches), with dump body options adding $850.00 (bed vibrator), $1,315.00 (front bumper fabrication), and $250.00 (move front tow hooks). 

 

Funds for this purchase have been appropriated and are available in the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund 30, Project #175320 in the amount of $150,000.00.
