Background:
Construction started on September 12, 2016 at Dallas Street east of Main Street. The project is currently 65% complete, with construction currently taking place on the west side of Main Street from El Paso Street to Fort Worth Street and on side streets.

Demolition, storm sewer, light pole foundations, underground electric and irrigation mains, concrete curbs and gutters, sidewalks, driveways, raised planters and seat walls are complete on the east side of Main Street from El Paso to Fort Worth.

Concrete sidewalks and curbs and asphalt pavement are complete on Dallas, El Paso, and Commercial Streets east of Main Street. On the west side of Main Street from Dallas to El Paso, water lines, electrical systems, irrigation, and footings are complete. Curb and gutter, sidewalks, and brick walls are being constructed from El Paso to Fort Worth on the west side of Main Street.

Demolition is complete on the south side of the train tracks. Sidewalks and paving will be constructed starting the week of February 6, 2017. The footings are complete and the cast stone and brick are currently being installed on the Gateway at Main and Kenosha.

Construction of the south portion of the Streetscapes is scheduled to be complete in March 2017; the north portion is scheduled for completion in April 2017.
