Background:

Recently it came to the attention of Staff that City of Broken Arrow Ordinance, Section 23-2 and 23-106, needed to be amended to add language to allow the City Manager to appoint a designee.

Section 23-79, is being requested to be amended by the Police Department, to allow motorcycle officers to operate on sidewalks.

Section 23-107, specifically subsection (a) needs to be amended to clarify that all traffic-control signals and devices shall conform to specifications approved by the state highway authority, by resolution or by the Broken Arrow Code of Ordinances.

Section 23-118, specifically subsection (b) should be amended to remove the requirement of filing three copies of the uniform traffic control manual with the city clerk.
