Background:
A traffic signal at the intersection of 33rd Street and Kenosha Street will be required when the new Broken Arrow Elementary School located north of Kenosha and west of 37th Street (209th E. Ave.) is completed this summer. The signal project was advertised for bids on January 24 and 31, 2017, and bids were opened on February 14, 2017. Two (2) bids were received. The low bidder was Traffic and Lighting Systems, Inc., with a bid of $161,612.25. The engineer’s estimate was $176,948.00. The certified bid tabulation is attached. Staff recommends award of the Kenosha and 33rd Street Traffic Signal to Traffic and Lighting Systems, Inc., in the amount of $161,612.25.
Funds for the work are available in Sales Tax Capital Improvements.
Cost: $161,612.25
