Approval of bids received and award the lowest responsible bid to England Ford for the purchase of one (1) replacement dump truck for the Parks Department

Background:
The Parks and Recreation Department requested and sought bids for one (1) replacement 1-ton dump truck. Funds have been appropriated and are available in the Sales Tax Capital Improvement (STCI) Fund for this purchase.
Bids were solicited from 18 dealers, seven bids were received from five dealers. The low bid was submitted by England Ford for a 2017 Ford F-350 with a Crysteel dump body. Exceptions taken on this low bid are minor in nature and will not affect the ability of the unit to perform its function as required by the Department. Total cost for this unit is $46,758.00 and is recommended for purchase. Additional options selected are reflected in the attached bid tabulation.
Staff recommends that the Council award the lowest responsible bid to England Ford.
