Background:
The Fire Department budgeted $92,000 in the Fiscal Year 2017 Sales Tax Capital Improvement budget for the purpose of upgrading the emergency vehicle laptop computers for all 7 fire trucks, Battalion Chief vehicle, Emergency Medical Services Officer vehicle, Rescue 1, Fire Investigator vehicle, along with four spare laptops for backup. The Information Technology Department has obtained a quote for fifteen (15) Dell Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme laptops and mounting hardware from the Oklahoma statewide contract in the amount of $61,689.45. The funding for this projected was approved in the Fiscal Year 2017 Fire Department Sales Tax Capital Improvement budget, project #173501.
