Background:

The 23rd Street, Kenosha to Houston, project is a federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) project that is being cost-shared 20%-80% between the City of Broken Arrow and Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).  ODOT has proposed widening State Highway 51 under and on either side of the proposed 23rd Street bridge, using 100% federal highway funds with a “soft match” credit by ODOT.  Since Infrastructure Solutions Group LLC (formerly Mehlberger Brawley, Inc.) designed the bridge and is familiar with the area, ODOT requested that the ISG contract be amended to prepare the design.  At the January 17, 2017, regular meeting, the City Council approved Supplemental Engineering Contract No. 2 - Financing Agreement by and between the City and ODOT covering the engineering services.  Amendment No.2 to the A-E contract has been negotiated in the amount of $110,000.00 and is attached.

No City funds are required for this work.
