EBackground:
The Street Division requested and sought bids for an Asphalt Crack Sealer. Eight (8) vendors were solicited to bid on this equipment, and a total of three (3) bids were received. One of the three vendors meet specifications. Jo-Co Equipment submitted a bid for a 2017 Cimline M2DH meeting specifications and is low bid. Base pricing, selected options, and warranty information are reflected in the attached bid tabulation. The bid tabulation also includes all vendors submitting bids for this equipment.
The total price for the asphalt crack sealer with selected options is $42,619.00. Base price is $38,335.00 plus $1,260.00 (flashing arrow board), $1,575.00 (heated application hose), $157.50 (toolbox), $1,008.00 (engine cover) and $283.50 (battery disconnect switch). The options selected are reflected in the attached bid tabulation. Funds for this purchase have been appropriated and are available in the Street and Alley Fund 34 in the available amount of $55,000.
