Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment No. 3 to Professional Consultant Agreement with Cowan Group Engineers, LLC (CGE) for design of Cedar Street improvements from Elgin Street to Freeport Street (Project No. ST1510)

Background:
Cowan Group Engineers, LLC (CGE) prepared the design of Cedar Street from Detroit to Kenosha in 2015. The street improvements were constructed from Detroit to just south of Freeport, the location of a drainage structure. However, the drainage structure and street from there to Kenosha were not constructed because it was necessary to acquire drainage easements on both sides of the drainage structure. Once those easements were acquired, Amendment No. 3 to the CGE agreement for design of a new reinforced concrete box and the remainder of the roadway from Elgin Street to Freeport Street, was negotiated in the amount of $8,200.00 (attached). The revised total contract amount, including Amendments 1, 2, and 3, is $144,500.00.
Funding for the project is from 2008 Streets GO Bond.
