Background:

The Oaks off Main is a development consisting of 16 total units that include both two and three story buildings.  The development will have “Brownstone” style single family attached housing units.

Previously, the City passed Ordinance No. 2932, which closed the alley right-of-way.  In said ordinance, the city reserved the right to re-open the alley, at no expense to the City, at any time the City deemed it necessary.  The development of this property has created the public necessity of re-opening the alley to allow greater access and to provide access to off alley parking due to development.

This preview ordinance will allow the City to re-open the alley pursuant to Oklahoma State Statutes 11 O.S. § 42-110(C)(1).
