EBackground:
The Street Division requested and sought bids for a digital print system and laminator. Eight (8) vendors were solicited to bid on this equipment, and a total of two (2) bids were received. One of the two vendors meet specifications. Avery Dennison submitted a bid for a Trafficjet 1638 meeting specifications. Base pricing and warranty information are reflected in the attached bid tabulation. The bid tabulation also includes both vendors submitting bids for this equipment.
The total price for the digital print system and laminator is $38,947.00. Funds for this purchase have been appropriated and are available in the STCI Capital Improvement Fund in the available amount of $39,300.00. (Project No. 175331, Acct. No. 030-5300-431.70-17)
Staff recommends Council approve Avery Dennison as the lowest responsible bid.
