Approval of bids received and award the lowest responsible bid to CPR of Tulsa for roof replacement services at Battle Creek

Background:
During a recent severe weather storm, the Club House and Reception Hall Facility roofs at the Battle Creek Golf course were damaged and will require replacement. Risk Management filed a claim with our insurance company. The City has received $35,970 to date for damages. Upon receipt of the repair invoice, Risk Management will settle any remaining claims according to the terms of the insurance policy.
The Building Maintenance Division requested and sought bids for replacing the roof on both the Club House and Reception Hall buildings. Bids were solicited from eleven roofing companies. Nine bids were received. The low bid submitted by CPR of Tulsa was $33,000 plus the cost of deteriorated decking. The bid meets all requirements and specifications of the requested work and is the recommended contractor to perform the roof replacements on both buildings.
Funds for this work are available in the amount of $49,000 which is made up from the Sale Tax Capital Improvement Funds and funds collected from the insurance claim on the two roofs.
Cost: $ 33,000.00 (plus cost of deteriorated decking, if any)
