Background:
City of Broken Arrow Ordinance, Chapter 2, Section 2-182 provides that the City Manager may recommend the appointment of persons to act as treasurer in the case of illness, absence or disability of the City Treasurer. The appointment is then made by City Council. Tom Caldwell has served as the Director of Finance and City Treasurer since 1992. The City Manager requests that City of Broken Arrow Controller Tom Cook, Jr. be assigned as the Acting City Treasurer in the case of illness, absence or disability of the City Treasurer. Mr. Cook has served as the City of Broken Arrow’s Controller for the last ten years and would only serve as the Acting City Treasurer in the event of illness, absence or disability of the City Treasurer.
The City Manager recommends that the City Council appoint Tom Cook, Jr. as Acting City Treasurer in the case of illness, absence or disability of the City Treasurer
