Background:
The applicant, Nicole Watts, KKT Architects Inc., representing Bixby Public Schools, Independent School District No. 4, has requested the closure of a Utility Easement shown on the Bixby Northeast Campus Plat. This request is to close a portion of the 10-foot utility easement located along the northwest boundary of the utility easement due to a building addition that overlaps an existing 8-inch water line. The waterline will be re-routed with a new utility easement and the old easement under the building shall be closed and vacated.
City staff has reviewed the easements closing documents and are in agreement with the closure. The private utility companies have reviewed the documents and are in agreement as well.
The attached easement closure was previewed by the City Council on September 6, 2016. Staff recommends the Council Adopt Ordinance 3452 and approve the Emergency Clause.
