Background:
After Staff reviewed the updated ordinances that govern the Broken Arrow Convention and Visitors' Bureau ("CVB"), an amendment was requested. Staff requested that the CVB appointment schedule be repealed and requested that the rules be incorporated into City ordinance. Specifically, incorporating the repealed Appointment schedule into the Broken Arrow Code of Ordinances.

City Council approved the preview Ordinance at their September 6, 2016 meeting. Amendments to the Ordinance include the following: Sec. 2-212, has been amended to include "Appointments shall be for a staggered two-year term except for the year of 2016, position 3 shall be for a term of one year. Appointed members of the Broken Arrow Convention and Visitors' Bureau shall serve without compensation, and shall not hold or be candidates for an elective public office."

This amendment provides a staggered term for the CVB. This amended Ordinance includes the following staggered terms with an expiration of September 30th of the respective year:
