Background:

In Section 2-25 of the Code of Ordinances, the City Council has authorized the City Manager to approve contracts or purchases of supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services for $25,000 or less.  The Council has also granted the City Manager the authority to adjust fees listed in the City’s Manual of Fees. The Manual of Fees compiles fees and costs for development, licensing and registration of various occupations and establishments, utilities, parks and recreation facilities, Fire Department fees, including charges for Emergency Medical Services, and various copying and search charges. This amendment to Section 2-25 will grant the City Manager the authority to waive fees for $25,000 or less if in the best interest of the City.
