Background:
The State of Oklahoma currently has three vendors with competitive bids for the 2017 Ford SUV Interceptor. This is currently the only Police SUV Interceptor available on state bid. Law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Oklahoma are able to purchase Police SUV Interceptors at the state contract price, which is advantageous to the political subdivision by allowing it to make purchases at a lower price. The Police department is seeking to purchase eleven (11) 2017 Ford Interceptor SUVs' from the state bid contract.

All vendor bids included identical 3yr/36k bumper to bumper and 5yr/100k drive train warranties. Bob Hurley Ford submitted the lowest state bid for a 2017 Ford SUV Interceptor at a price of $28,100, which included all options desired by the Police Department. The additional cost of requested options is reflected in the attached bid tabulation. The bid is exclusive of any police emergency equipment.

Funds have been appropriated and are available in the STCI fund in the amount of $480,000
for the purchase of vehicles.

Staff recommends approval of State Contract purchase with Bob Hurley Ford.
