Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of and authorization to execute a Service and Operation Agreement between the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority and the Metropolitan Environmental Trust (M.e.t.) for operation of the Broken Arrow Recycle Center and for services related to Household Hazardous Waste Collection
End
Background:
The attached agreement for the provision of services between the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority (BAMA) and the Metropolitan Environmental Trust (The M.e.t.) provides for operation of the Broken Arrow Recycle Center and services related to Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHP). Unlike past agreements with the Met, this year's agreement combines both the Recycle Center operation and HHP services in a single agreement.

On June 23, 2016, The M.e.t. Board of Trustees approved this year's agreement which includes an overall cost increase of $19,152 over last year's two separate agreements. This amount is reflective of increases intended to reduce the amount the center is subsidized by the other member communities and provide up to 240 appointment services for HHP collections at Tulsa's regional collection facility. Any unused HHP services will be rolled over to the next agreement year.

Cost for this service is funded and available in the Sanitation Division budget.
